Characteristics: Cypress is a domestic hardwood. The small sapwood band is nearly white, contrasting strongly with the light yellowish brown to dark reddish brown heartwood. It is a strong wood with a grain that varies from straight to even and the wood is coarse textured. Our Cypress has outstanding durability and decay resistance.
Common Uses: Cypress is fantastic for exterior uses such as posts - beams - boat parts - siding - greenhouse framing - shingles - boxes and mouldings.
Working Properties: Cypress is easy to work with hand and power tools. It holds nails and screws well, glues fine and holds paint very well.
